A Mondongo Fusion (korábban iX) zenekar 2014 decemberében alakult Budapesten. Instrumentális zenét játszunk, jellemző ránk a kísérletezés a különböző műfajokkal és hangulatokkal. A dalok írásánál igyekszünk valamilyen tematikát körbejárni, és utazásra invitálni a hallgatóságot. Szeretjük többféle stílussal beoltani a számokat, a stoner, metal, pszichedelikus rock ugyanúgy helyet kap, mint a jazz és a népzene. Többen mondták már, hogy kompozícióink hajaznak a King Crimson, a Syrius és leginkább a Másfél zenei világára.
A 2018-ban megjelent 2 by 2 c. EP-nkről így írt a recorder.hu
"Meglehetősen szokatlan műfaji egyveleg az, amit a budapesti iX játszik: a Bandcampen a címkék között ott van náluk az ethno, a jazzy, a progresszív és a pszichedelikus is. És tényleg, nagyjából a nagy hagyományú ethno-jazz rockos hangzásokkal és ritmusokkal beoltott változatát játsszák, és ez meglepően jól működik." /recorder.hu, 2018/

Mondongo Fusion (ex iX) was formed in Budapest at 2014. We play instrumental music, we like to experiment with different genres and moods. During sessions we aim to follow a thematics and invite the audience for a journey. We like to inject different styles into our music, stoner, metal, psychedelic rock, but also like to add some jazz and folk music as well. We had been told by some, that our compositions are similar to King Crimson.
At 2018, a Hungarian music site wrote the following about our EP: 2 by 2
"It is pretty unusual mix of genres, that the Budapest based iX plays, at Bandcamp they have tags like ethno, jazz, progressive and psychedelic as well. And indeed, they pretty much play the traditional ethno-jazz with rock elements, and it works surprisingly good." /recorder.hu, 2018/
