Following his debut in February, our friend Slo Mo Chan closes the year with another EP. The title track was inspired by John Carpenter’s classic horror of the same title. While this instrumental funk theme isn’t scary at all, there’s tension in it. Mikkamakka is a mutation at the intersection of downtempo, funk and synth-pop. Lady Silence is true traveling music with slow-moving bass and enchanted synths. And in the closing Ghost of Arizona, as a surprising turn, oriental motifs also return, evoking the mood of the previous EP.

Februári bemutatkozását követően egy újabb EP-vel zárja az évet Slo Mo Chan barátunk. A címadó számot John Carpenter azonos című klasszikus horrorja inspirálta. Bár ez az instrumentális funk téma egyáltalán nem ijesztő, feszültség azért van benne. A Mikkamakka a downtempo, a funk és a synth-pop metszéspontján létrejött mutáció. A Lady Silence igazi utazós zene, lassan hömpölygő basszussal és elvarázsolt szintikkel hálóz be. A záró Ghost of Arizonában pedig meglepő fordulatként a keleti motívumok is visszatérnek az előző EP hangulatát megidézve.
